Hotel Accomodations: The Fairmont Orchid Hawai'i

Located within the 3,200-acre Mauna Lani Resort, the Fairmont Orchid Hawai'i is an excellent starting point for Big Island adventures, offers luxurious accommodations and is approximately 22 miles from Keahole-Kona International Airport. Local attractions include golfing, located adjacent to the resort, and Kailua-Kona, located 29 miles away.

The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii's most extravagant feature is the Spa Without Walls—a series of open-air massage houses located by streams, waterfalls, the ocean and tropical gardens. The resort also offers an extensive excursion program. From botanical tours, snorkeling, surfing and fitness classes to Hawai'ian arts and crafts classes, the Fairmont Orchid Activity Package can provide guests with the tours and equipment of their choice. Those that wish to get the blood pumping onsite may plunge into the 10,000 square foot swimming pool and lava whirlpools, or work on their game on one of the 10 tennis courts. Be sure not to miss the sea turtles, swimming ashore each afternoon. Other amenities include a business center, secretarial services, cell phone rentals, babysitting services, gift shops, laundry services, safe deposit boxes and a 24-hour resort shuttle. Dining options include island cuisine at Brown's Beach House, fine dining at the Grill, breakfast at the Orchid Court, and Norio's Sushi Bar and Restaurant. Beverages are served at Kahakai Bar, the Ocean Bar, the Sunset Terrace and the Paniolo Lounge and Polo Bar, also featuring billiards and board games.
