Presented by the AIRA Puerto Rico Chapter, this program consists of a one–hour presentation on recent issues and developments on Puerto Rico's pension systems followed by a reception for all participants.

The conference speaker will be Hector M. Mayol Kauffmann, Esq.

Mr. Mayol is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico Law School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he obtained Juris Doctor and Bachelor's and Master's degrees respectively, he has held many positions in the financial industry, including institutional brokerage, corporate and investment banking and asset management. He is also a recognized authority in regulatory matters, having served as Puerto Rico's Financial Institutions Commissioner, during which tenure the local mutual–fund market came into being.

Mr. Mayol was until recently the Administrator of the Puerto Rico Government Employees Retirement System and also of the Teachers Retirement System, which jointly services 224,000 active participants and 135,000 retirees and beneficiaries, and manages more than $5.7 Billion in assets.
