AIRA's statement on COVID-19 as of April 27, 2020

To the membership of AIRA:

Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the health and safety of our attendees, staff and communities, AIRA will conduct our annual conference, AC20, virtually.

We know that the Annual Conference is important to many of you, and that many attend the conference to attain their annual CPE/CLE. Therefore, in place of AC20, we are pleased to announce that we will be rolling out the Annual Conference Series, a platform whereby our educational sessions will be presented via a series of webinars likely to begin within the next 4-6 weeks. CPE/CLE will be offered to attendees participating in one or more of the webinars.

The live CIRA Part 3 class that was scheduled for Chicago before AC20 will also be conducted online. The revised dates for the presentation will be posted shortly.

The AC20 planning committee is working hard to finalize course materials and we are in the process of developing the schedule, so look for more information and details coming soon.

CIRA/CDBV Courses:

We have postponed the live New York CIRA Part 2 class to be rescheduled on an as yet undetermined date. With the exception of the CIRA course attached to AC20, which is pending, all other scheduled CIRA/CDBV courses for the remainder of the year will be conducted online as planned. The schedule is outlined below.

  • Part: 1: May 05-22, 2020
  • Part: 3: Jun 08-10, 2020: Chicago, Illinois (pending)
  • Part: 2: Jul 14-31, 2020
  • Part: 1: Sep 01-18, 2020
  • Part: 3: Oct 20-06, 2020
  • Part: 2: Dec 01-18, 2020

  • Part: 2: Apr 21-08, 2020
  • Part: 3: Aug 11-04, 2020

We recognize that changes are occurring rapidly, and as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve we will monitor developments to determine whether further measures, including conference cancellations and refunds, are warranted. Above all, we want to stress that the well-being of our members, conference/course attendees, and staff are our primary concern. We will continue to provide updates via email and/or our website as warranted.

Thank you for your continued support of AIRA,
James M. Lukenda, CIRA
