Megan’s practice focuses on complex restructuring and insolvency matters and enforcement of creditor rights and remedies. She routinely represents institutional investors and indenture trustees in distressed municipal debt matters, including corporate and municipal bankruptcies and out-of-court restructurings. Her work spans a variety of industries, with an emphasis on health care, senior living, retail, charter schools, and higher education.

In 2021 and 2022, Best Lawyers in America featured Megan on its “Ones to Watch” list, which recognizes extraordinary lawyers practicing in the United States for less than 10 years.  

Prior to joining Mintz, Megan was a partner in the Chicago office of a large, international law firm. Earlier she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jeff Bohm of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston.

In law school, Megan was executive student publications editor of the John Marshall Law Review. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Bruce W. Black of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and as a legal extern for the US Department of Justice US Trustee Program.
