John T. Roche is an offshore drilling executive with experience as part of a leadership team during periods of growth, transition and restructuring. His 20+ year career has been focused on the oil and gas industry.

John was Chief Executive Officer and Director of Seadrill Partners from July 2019 to May 2021. During his tenure, nearly $3 billion of liabilities were restructured, new management services agreements were executed for 11 mobile offshore drilling units and the Company’s drilling rig operations were transitioned to new managers.

Prior to this he was Chief Financial Officer for Seadrill Partners.

Before joining Seadrill Partners, John spent 12 years at Morgan Stanley in its New York and London offices. His most recent role was in the Investment Banking division covering the Global Oilfield Services industry. His career at Morgan Stanley also includes roles in the Investment Management Division responsible for the Energy, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors.

John graduated from Boston College with a degree in finance and is a CFA Charterholder.
