Associate Professor

Lauren Skinner Beitelspacher (Ph.D., University of Alabama) is an Associate Professor in the Marketing Division at Babson College. Her research interests include: buyer-supplier relationships, retail management, and the retail supply chain. Her work has been published in numerous scholarly journals including: Journal of Marketing, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, and Industrial Marketing Management. She has also presented her work at numerous conferences and won several best paper in track awards at the American Marketing Association, Society for Marketing Advances and Academy of Marketing Science conferences. Her research concentrates specifically on the relationships with retailers and manufacturers. Whenever possible, her research focuses in the athletic, outdoor, and sporting goods industry.

Lauren is very involved in pedagogical contributions for principles of marketing and retail management. Lauren is also actively involved in the marketing community. She recently co-chaired the 2018 American Marketing Association/ American Collegiate Retailing Association Triennial Conference. She is the co-chair of Retail and Pricing Special Interest Group for the American Marketing Association.

Lauren is an Associate Editor for Retailing research for the Journal of Business Research.  Lauren is also on the editorial review boards of Journal of Retailing, Journal of Marketing Education, and International Journal of Physical Distribution and Retailing Management.  Lauren is also the author of the forthcoming Connect Master Principles of Marketing textbook, 1st edition, from McGraw Hill Publishing.

In 2018, Lauren was named Faculty of the Year by the Undergraduate Class of 2018 at Babson College.  Lauren won the Dean’s Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2017.  Lauren was named one of the Top 40 under 40 Business Professors by Poets & Quants in 2016.  Lauren was also named Top 40 under 40 Business Professionals by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2011.  Lauren also received the “Outstanding Marketer” Award from the Birmingham American Marketing Association.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Written cancellation for the conference or any excursions must be received by midnight on Monday, May 13, 2019 for a full refund less a $75 cancellation processing fee. No refunds will be given after May 13, 2019; substitutions are allowed.
