Self-study: Financial Statement Analysis Primer

The audio portion of this course was recorded during a live webcast presented by Matthew Holaves and Aalok Mody, co-founders and instructors with Pillars of Wall Street. During this two-hour program, participants are provided with the “nuts and bolts” of accounting from a financial analysis perspective designed as a basic course especially helpful to advisors who do not have an accounting background. It is also excellent as a review or refresher for others with limited accounting experience who wish to prepare for modeling and valuation techniques. The material covered focuses on interrelationships among the three major financial statements utilizing actual annual reports to illustrate accounting treatment and disclosures.

Matthew Holaves, gained his finance experience as a VP with Jefferies & Company's M&A group and as associate with Bank of America's TMT investment banking group. He has completed M&A and financing transactions across several industry verticals including healthcare, consumer, industrials, telecom and technology. Prior to his investment banking career, he was a Manager with Arthur Andersen's Transaction Advisory Group where he advised private equity groups, strategic buyers and commercial lenders throughout the United States and Europe.

Aalok Mody, Co-Founder, Pillars of Wall Street—Aalok is an experienced financial instructor who has led financial training courses for thousands of analysts and associates throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
